WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR AN INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM AWARD?
There is a war going on for people's minds, hearts and souls. Within the mass media, losing is winning, war is peace, hate is love, fear is kindness, bombing is security, regime change or assassination is democracy, fiat paper is money, and denial is reality. Destroying the environment is good for the GDP, and thus moral and ethical. All of these things together are known as Catch 22.
Humanity is being lost because the corporate controlled mass media just does not care enough about telling the truth or informing people about real core issues, because profits come first and nothing else matters. Advertisers, producers and boards pressure shows and news reporters to 'conform' to corporate advertiser wishes.
What the billionaires at the top of huge corporations want is what shows up on mass media, but nothing else does. The huge void left over after corporations get what they want and nothing else is what is destroying not just the world, but democracy, freedom, sustainable choices, and more all around the world.

The media creates the frenzy, the politicians do what the people are all whipped up over, based on what the media covers, which is pushed by corporations and the 1%, behind the scenes, usually for reasons such as control, and/or profit and/or more absolute power, or hiding what is really going on, because it is distracting from what the corporations want. There is a way to 'tune in' to the people who are real, truth based journalists, while tuning out the pro billionaire propagandists who spread denial, delusion, deception and destruction.
How does the average person tell the difference?
Is the news creating a feeling of love, peace, unity and harmony with all of the people in the world? If yes, it is something worth watching or listening to. If not, then it is probably generating fear, hatred or other division against a target minority such as other skin colors, races, religions, which is a classic hallmark of pro billionaire divide and conquer tactic, while promoting a police state, never ending war and fear based campaigns. Quit watching that 'programming'.
Is the news programming scripted via teleprompters or ear pieces which means that some billionaire is controlling that mouthpiece? Does this 'news' get repeated over and over again, using the same exact wording which also generates feelings of fear and/or hatred against a minority target? If yes, that often means a billionaire is using his or her absolute control to 'program' viewers or listeners with a specific propaganda message, designed to deceive, delude and/or destroy.
What you can do;
Watch or listen only to news channels that have less or no 'scripting', teleprompters and ear pieces.
Tune out, quit listening or viewing the 'dead' zombie talking heads, reading their dead scripts which mainly focus on fear, panic and following the orders of billionaires, hidden in secret shadows, behind curtains of darkness.
Tune into the 'live' ones, who have a light shining in their eyes, who speak from the heart, in the present moment.
