Oprah Winfrey has talked about meditation and why she started meditating. In Fairfield Iowa, about 50% of the town meditates regularly, all in the same place, but they started with only a few people. Oprah started doing a REGULAR, DAILY meditation program with a couple people inside a company, during work hours. More people gathered together to meditate. 

Eventually, the WHOLE COMPANY was meditating together. The benefits are HUGE.  If this is not enough to convince the corporate upper level echelon of the benefits, it may pay to know that the competition is doing it, and will leave your company behind if it does not match what the #1 company is doing.

HOW TO MEDITATE


Mao Shing Ni, L.Ac., D.O.M., PhD said that; "many people find the idea of meditation to be daunting. They think they do not have the time, saying, “Someday I will devote the time to study meditation.” 

Meditation is simple. You don’t need training and you don’t need to be alone in the mountains. You can learn it right now! All you need is a quiet place to sit and the curiosity to try for 10 minutes.

Step 1: Sit comfortably in a chair with your spine erect and both legs and thighs forming a ninety-degree angle with the ground, keeping your feet shoulder width apart – or sit in a cross-legged position.

Step 2: Close your eyes and breath as naturally as possible. After a few breaths, try breathing with your abdomen only. Slowly, your breath will deepen as you practice.

Step 3: Begin to quiet your mind. Of course, the thoughts will come – and they will always be there. Don’t struggle against them. Let the thoughts come, but don’t dwell on them. Keep relaxing, and bring your consciousness back to your breath. If you have trouble concentrating, focus on one thing, a word or a mantra that can invoke a calming effect within you."

Buddha was asked, what have you gained from meditation? He replied; NOTHING! However, let me tell you what I have lost; anger, anxiety, depression, insecurity, fear of old age and death.


Meditation has the potential to literally transform the world. In 1978, what is known as the “Maharishi Effect” took place when a group of 7000 individuals over the course of 3 weeks were meditating in hopes of positively effecting the surrounding city.

They were able to literally transform the collective energy of the city which reduced global crime rates, violence, and casualties during the times of their meditation by an average of 16%. Suicide rates and automobile accidents also were reduced with all variables accounted for. In fact, there was a 72% reduction in terrorist activity during the times at which this group was meditation. 

The most important thing to be gained from meditation is that it raises a person's vibration, which then allows access to the invisible realms and gifts. A person who does not go into the silence, and who does not meditate in some form or fashion is literally building a wall that does not allow supernatural, angel, or other spiritual experiences. 

Meditation also allows the mind to quiet down, which means that the ego grows smaller and comes under the control of the soul, instead of the other way around. 

Meditation also allows a stronger connection to intuition, so that a person can more clearly 'get' which way to go on a daily, hourly or even moment to moment basis. What to say, how to say it, and when not to say or do things are just as important as taking some positive action, as long as they are done with that intuitive sense operating.
