 Toxicity of GMO Corn and GMO hypocrisy and Double Standard
A leaked study examining genetically-modified corn reveals that the lab-made alternative to organic crops contains a startling level of toxic chemicals.

Although the giant biotech claims that there are no differences between GMO and non-GMO corn, recently the website for Moms Across America posted an article that showed an exclusive comparisons between GM corn and non-GMO corn. The report showed how GM corn has high toxic levels of glyphosate and formaldehyde and lower levels of nutrients and organic corn has 7 times more manganese, 437 times more calcium and 56 times more magnesium than GM corn.

Studies also show that both levels of glyphosate and formaldehyde in GM corn are toxic. In fact, the US Environmental Protection Agency requires that the level of glyphosate in drinking water not to exceed 0.7 ppm and animals have had organ damages if their exposure to glyphosate has exceeded 0.1 ppm. However, the US water levels have 7,000 more glyphosate than the amount allowed for animal organ damage.

Also Dr Huber who among many scientific community members warned the authorities of toxicity of Roundup found out that animals in the laboratory always avoided eating GMO corn and if they were given a choice between organic and GM corn, they always chose organic corn. He also discovered that even .97ppm of formaldehyde is toxic to animals but the GM corn that was given to his laboratory animals had 200 times more formaldehyde.

There is a theory being promoted by all monopolistic global corporations that deal with toxic products. The hormesis theory claims that toxic materials like GMO foods, coal, chemicals, pesticides, nuclear, heavy metals, asbestos, tobacco, and others like this are beneficial to health, and/or that they don't cause any harm.  


If GMO foods and drinks do indeed cause harm due to containing toxic ingredients, plus lower amounts of beneficial minerals/co factors, wouldn't that be grounds for criminal prosecution? GMO Free USA USDA Deregulates New Monsanto GMO Corn. Poison-maker, Monsanto, doesn't think poisoning our food and environment with carcinogenic glyphosate is enough. So they genetically engineered corn that tolerates the unlimited spraying of both dicamba and glufosinate herbicides. WALMART STILL HAS NOT REJECTED MONSANTO GMO CORN


Walmart hasn't rejected Monsanto's GE sweet corn.

FOOD AND WATER WATCH
"Walmart is a corporate giant that cares more about its profits than listening to its customers. Food and Water Watch and our allies have delivered Walmart nearly half a million petitions, 8,500 calls, and our supporters held events at more than 150 Walmart stores all over the country and posted thousands of comments on Walmart's Facebook page. Still, Walmart has refused to reject Monsanto's sweet corn.

In response to consumer concerns, Walmart is hiding behind a misleading statement that they don't "specifically source" genetically engineered foods. No one had said that Walmart is going to specifically order Monsanto's GE sweet corn, but unless Walmart takes affirmative steps to prevent it from coming into its stores, it is likely to be sold intermixed with regular corn, unlabeled and leaving consumers in the dark. It's time we tell Walmart that we won't buy their lies and we won't buy their sweet corn. 

I received this letter from Walmart last week saying that they do not "specifically source" genetically engineered foods, but let's be honest, that means absolutely nothing, and it's not good enough:

Monsanto's new genetically engineered sweet corn could be planted this spring, which means that it could be in stores this summer. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and General Mills have all made the commitment not to sell Monsanto's sweet corn, but it looks like since Walmart will not reject this corn by specifically saying they will not purchase it, the corn could be on their shelves this summer.

Walmart cares about their bottom line, and their image, so whether or not you shop at Walmart, can you tell them once more that you won't buy their lies or their corn?

Coup Media Group Monsanto wins patent battle with DuPont corporation to seize full control of GM seed patents! 
Apparently discontent with its more than $13.5 billion-plus in annual sales, genetic modification kingpin Monsanto has been trying for the past four-or-so years to extract billions more dollars from rival DuPont for alleged patent infringements involving its genetically-modified (GM) Roundup-Ready soybean technology. And the agri-giant has apparently achieved this goal, having recently settled its longstanding feud with DuPont in exchange for a massive $1.75 billion royalty payout to be delivered over the course of the next 10 years, according to reports.

SUMMARY


If a corporation makes a GREAT INVENTION, which it then puts into many products, wouldn't it make sense that it would want to open and transparently declare that this invention is a part of many products? Wouldn't that company WANT to label the products and demand that everyone KNOW that their invention is inside? 

Yet for some strange reason, Monsanto wants to keep their supposedly great invention that they claim has all kinds of benefits, SECRET, and for NO ONE TO KNOW, EVER. This does not make sense, wouldn't you agree? In any state or city where citizens try to get Monsanto to LABEL that the food contains GMO ingredients, Monsanto spends a TON of money to defeat the measure, no matter where in the world this happens. 

It does make sense if your intention is to sell an inferior product, and to fool people into thinking that they are buying something else which is superior. The table above shows toxic ingredients in the corn, which means the corn has POISON in it, correct?

Trying to sell a poison product and pass it off as nutritionally healthy is called the hormesis theory, which many companies keep trying to do; mercury amalgam in teeth, toxic heavy metal flouride in water and other products, tobacco products, asbestos, etc. The fossil fuel industry is nothing but poison but claims to be 'clean and green', the same as the man made ionizing radiation industry.

If you remember nothing but one thing, remember that the hormesis theory is the false claim of something poison being good for you.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Raise your own heirloom seed or hybrid NON GMO corn.

Buy organic foods

Plant only heirloom seeds.

Contact a local CSA and ask them if they grow GMO foods. If they grow heirloom seeds, buy from them and eat local as much as possible. Shop at local farmer's markets, and ask where they get their seeds.

Avoid GMO foods which are sold by the huge corporations using boxes and cans in the grocery stores.
