It turns out that depending on what the pigs and deer are eating, anywhere from 20% to 80% of the animals are contaminated with radioactive Cesium 137, making them unfit to eat due to high radiation levels. After measuring, the government reimburses the hunters for game that is thrown in the garbage, as explained in the following video by AP.

Wild Boars Contaminated With Chernobyl Radiation
The amount of boar meat thrown out due to radiation varies from 20 to 80 percent, even today. Why the difference from year to year? In years where there are a lot of mushrooms, the radiation levels go way up.

"We still feel the consequences of Chernobyl's fallout here," said Christian Kueppers, a radiation expert at Germany's Institute for Applied Ecology in Freiburg. The problem is so common that now all wild boars bagged by hunters in the affected regions have to be checked for radiation. Government compensation to hunters whose quarry has to be destroyed has added up to €460,000 ($650,000) over the past 12 months, Hagbeck said."
The number of animals that have to be disposed of numbers in the thousands each year. The unsafe radiation trigger in Germany is anything more than 600 Bq/Kilogram. Anyone eating boar meat even with 100 Bq/kg is risking their health, especially children.
UK FINDS HIGH RADIATION IN ANIMAL MEAT
In the UK the level of unsafe radiation was triggered at 1,000 Bq per kilogram Cesium 137 in sheep and other animals consumed for their meat. However, that testing and contaminated meat exclusion program has recently been dropped completely due to pressure from the nuclear industry. Anyone in the UK can now eat radioactively contaminated sheep or other meat, or that same radiation contaminated meat can now to exported and sold globally with no radiation measurement or warning labels at all.
The average level of Cesium radiation found in meat globally before atomic bomb testing was .00000005 or less bq/kg. The amount found in meat on an average basis after atomic bomb testing started, but pre Chernobyl was less than .5 Bq per kilogram and this was the maximum allowed in food at that time. Pre Chernobyl, the total amount of Cesium consumed per year on average would total around 100 Bq from both plant, milk and animal sources, (the .5 Bq/kg average was due to the open air nuclear bomb testing era).
Austria also has a problem with radioactive Cesium at levels much higher than normal in mushrooms, deer and wild pigs.
In July of 2010, Spiegel reported that; "according to the Environment Ministry in Berlin, almost €425,000 ($555,000) was paid out to hunters in 2009 in compensation for wild boar meat that was too contaminated by radiation to be sold for consumption. That total is more than four times higher than compensation payments made in 2007.
The German Environment Ministry reports that the average level of radioactive Cesium is 7,000 Bq per kg in wild pigs that live in the southern parts of Germany including Bavaria, near the Czech Republic. So far, Germany alone has paid out over €238 million to pay hunters for damages related to Chernobyl radiation, ever since Chernobyl Reactor IV exploded on April 26, 1986.
Why are hunters being paid for wild pigs that test high in radioactivity? Germany has an Atomic Energy Law which forces the government to compensate people for harm done by radiation. It not only regulates nuclear energy, but it also requires that the government pay compensation to anyone who harvests a radioactively contaminated animal.
Since many hunters prefer to take home a wild boar rather than cash, Bavarian hunters have been searching for ways to reduce the radiation in wild pigs. It seems that a chemical called Giese salt (AFCF) speeds up the excretion of cesium in wild pigs. This chemical binds itself to cesium, and is then taken out of the body. This same chemical is also being used in farm animals to reduce their radioactive burden.

The question is, why isn't the nuclear industry paying out for radiation caused 'damages'? The long life Cesium 137 is also still high, at 29.17 bq/kg. The average in fisheries products was 18.42 bq/kg. The big shocker, though, was the average total Cesium contamination in all food, including fisheries products, where the food was over the Japanese limit of 100 bq/kg. This highly contaminated food came in at an average of 512.44 bq/kg, or over 500% of the Japanese legal limit.
Remember, though, that is still below the US limit of 1200 bq/kg, and those highly contaminated food samples, while they are radioactive toxic waste in Japan, are still considered edible and legal ‘food’ in the US according to government approved maximum radiation contamination levels.

Some of the dead bodies are 10x or more above the 100bg/kg Japanese limit for food, deeming them not only unfit for consumption, but also too radioactive to even bury or incinerate.

There is a lot of pressure to keep raising or eliminating the radiation limits in food, because it can cause losses in the tourism, or create lower sales in the retail/wholesale food/farming sectors. Many farmers in the highly contaminated areas around Fukushima never stopped selling radiation contaminated foods, and are still selling them today. There is no way to test all foods to reach a goal of 100% radiation safety, even if radiation testing devices are installed in all grocery stores globally.
Children especially should not be eating any food with more than 5 bq/kg of cesium, as radiation eventually builds up in their bodies over time to dangerous levels that can be as low as 10 to 50 bq/kg, according to studies done around Chernobyl.

960 Bq/kg of Cs-134/137 detected from wild boar in Fukushima

According to MHLW (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), 960 Bq/Kg of Cesium-134/137 was measured from the meat of wild boar in Fukushima. The sampling date was 6/11/2016. This reading is over 9 times much as food safety limit. Cs-134 density was 154 Bq/Kg to prove it is contaminated from Fukushima accident. From this report MHLW released on 7/19/2016, significant density of Cs-134/137 was detected from all of 33 wild boar samples and it exceeded the food safety limit (100 Bq/Kg) in 2/3 samples. MHLW reports none of these wild boar meat was distributed for sale.
