Uranium is found in granite counter tops and that can be measured with a very sensitive Geiger Counter. It is also found in soil in very small amounts. Uranium was used to produce colors in glass, red, green, yellow and more. Many products, such as tiles, porcelain, teeth, glass and more were colored with uranium in the 1930's, but that made these product radioactive.
Do not use uranium products, as the uranium and daughter decay products can leach out, plus they leach out radon gas. Poisonous chemical products such as polonium and lead can and do act as poisons in the body, as the uranium decays.
All man made radioactive elements go through this same decay process. When nuclear authorities say that only a little Iodine came out of a reactor accident and that it has a short half life, that is a lie, because over 1,946 elements, isotopes and actinides come out of a reactor accident, and they all have decay chains like the following one. So the negative effects on health resulting from the emissions of the nuclear industry are not just from one element or isotope, but from over 1,946 of them.

URANIUM 235 DECAY CHAIN
Each one of these radioactive elements and isotopes has a 'half life' varying from seconds to millions of years. When a radioactive element decays from one element to another inside the human body, it releases a burst of radiation and heat that acts like machine gun bullets.

Each radioactive element has many of these heavier or lighter sub elements, which all have different decay chains, as described above. So if someone starts to try and simplify this and say that one radioactive element only has one decay chain, you can correct them and say that radioactive elements each have numerous radioactive 'cousins' and each of those cousins decays into different decay chains, much like the two examples above.
Both of the above radioactive uranium elements start with some form of uranium, but they end up decaying in completely different ways. This is how and why there are not just a few, not just a couple dozen, or a couple hundred horribly bad things coming out of any nuclear reactor. There are almost 2,000 man made radioactive elements coming out of any nuclear reactor or bomb.

Papers reluctantly released by the UK Government in the bomb test veterans' legal case for compensation reveal what it has long denied, writes Chris Busby – that bomb fallout is rich in uranium, and that most of its radioactivity is concentrated in the 'forgotten' but highly active isotope U-234, explaining much of the substantial, long term damage to veterans' health.
Secret documents released to me as a result of an order by the Judge in the nuclear test veteran pension appeals (the late HH Hugh Stubbs) reveal valuable evidence about uranium in fallout.
The documents show that fallout from atmospheric nuclear testing contains enormous amounts of uranium. This should be no surprise as nuclear bombs contain a lot of uranium, and most of it remains unfissioned after a nuclear explosion.
But what will come as news to a great many people is the importance in the fallout of an isotope of uranium that few of us have even heard of: uranium-234, a highly radioactive alpha emitter which concentrates in the 'enriched uranium' (EU) used in nuclear bombs.

U-234 nuclei usually last for hundreds of thousands of years, but then they decay by alpha emission to thorium-230, except for the small percentage of nuclei which undergo spontaneous fission.
The path of production of U-234 via nuclear decay is as follows: U-238 nuclei emit an alpha particle to become thorium-234 (Th-234). Next, with a short half-life, Th-234 nuclei emit a beta particle to becomeprotactinium-234 (Pa-234). Finally, Pa-234 nuclei emit another beta particle to become U-234 nuclei.
U-234 nuclei usually last for hundreds of thousands of years, but then they decay byalpha emission to thorium-230, except for the small percentage of nuclei which undergospontaneous fission.

RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT EXPLAINED

Just for the record for those that don't know. Fallout is the precipitation can be a very random event. Imagine throwing a handful of dirt up in the air. It doesn’t fall uniformly it falls randomly. Some areas will have more dirt clumped together whilst some will have less and some areas will have no dirt at all.
The weather pattern play a lot into this apparent randomness of this fallout in the rain. So what I have measured here may be higher or even lower even just a few miles away. This is a known phenomena even observed and way back in atomic weapon testing days last century and this patchy fallout is now been seeing all across Japan and the world for that matter. It’s even been observed by myself and other members of Radiation Watch groups.
But one thing we can be certain of is that radioactive particles are on occasions being washout of the atmosphere. Is this from Fukushima or another nuclear facility what I measured today who knows. I don’t have that piece of kit to identify the isotopes with 100% accuracy, all I can do is measure the radioactivity and know what type or radioactivity it is and how much there is. I can tell if it is alpha or beta radiation or even gamma or X-Ray radiation.
But it has been admitted by our own British government in the current Environmental Agencies 2011 report on radioactivity in the environment (published Oct 2012) that radioactive material from Fukushima in Japan has been transported to the UK by the weather and has be deposited across our green pastures. Of course it always below safety limit and does not pose any IMMEDIATE health effects (they always say that). In other words radiation wont hurt you today but over time it will, they know this and this is how they fool the public and I am currently writing an article to show everyone that we are eating radioactive food, domestic and imported and also that radiation is indeed falling on our land from Fukushima and it is admitted by our government but they use language to smudge the facts.
The radiation I detected today was decaying very fast, it has a very short half life. Potentially short lived decay is far more damaging to ones cells, its like a machine gun firing as opposed to a single shot here and there of longer lived isotopes that decay more slowly like over a few years, decades even centuries.
It is very hard to detect these longer lived decaying atoms unless there is a great big pile of it in front of the detector, the reason is because of the rate they decay at is far slower but this does not mean they are less harmful. Plutonium-239 is radioactive for over 240,000 years where as the sample I measured today was radioactive for only several hours however Plutonium is the most dangerous isotope known to man. One billionth or a gram inhaled for example will 100% of the time generate a cancer and kill. Each year the average nuclear power plant produces over 110Kg of Plutonium-239 and there are over 440 of them world wide. Some of these nuke reactors are 40 years old. Just think of the amount of this one radioactive isotope, Plutonium-239 that has been produced in the world today so far. Where is all this stuff, its in stock piles and of course nuclear weapons after all that is the primary reason for building nuclear reactor, it is to produce Plutonium-230 which is needed for nuclear weapons. We need nuclear reactors to generate electricity, well that’s the spin that they tell, we don’t need nuclear reactors. Japan shut all of theirs down after the Earthquake and Tsunami in March 2011, they had 54 nuke reactors, well technically they shut down 51 the other three blew up. Japan did not experience not one single power cut as a result of all these reactors being shut down.
At Fukushima and when unit 3 blew up the one that looked uncannily like a nuclear explosion with the mushroom cloud that travelled high up into the atmosphere, well this one was special. Unit 3 nuclear reactor was loaded with a special nuclear fuel called MOX fuel. This contains a percentage of Plutonium and Uranium Oxide as opposed to normal nuclear fuel which is just Uranium Oxide. MOX fuel is thousands and thousands of times more deadly than normal eradiated nuclear fuel. And guess what the reactor blew up and spread large pieces of the rector fuel over a two mile radius, some in the sea and some on the land whilst the tiny tiny fragment and particles even atoms went sky high in the explosion to travel the world and contaminate everything. These particles were traced and it takes approximately 40 days for the Fukushima radioactive plumes to circle the globe. All good stuff eh. Plutonium blown sky high.
My Geiger Counter is currently one of the best hand held portable Geiger counters and most sensitive on the market but it too has limitations it is brilliant at detecting even low levels of decay. But some of the levels falling on us here in England are even lower than I can detect with this bit of kit. But don’t be fooled these very low amount and hard to detect levels of radionuclides are so so very dangerous and they build up in the environment because they don’t decay like the radiation in this video.
The government knows that these particles of long lived radioactivity have been transported around the world from Fukushima and are being deposited on us now for nearly two years but they wont admit to it because that will be an admission that nuclear power is not safe…..it isn’t safe the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan has proven this, it will be the end of nuclear power so they have covered this up in the worlds largest media blackout.
We know for a fact that three nuclear reactors have been destroyed. We suspect there are many others in dire straights too in Japan. Logic says this is the case after the epic earthquake and tsunami of March 11th 2011.The thing to do is to mitigate and assume all rain is contaminated. Even when I measure the rain and detect low levels of naturally occurring radiation nick named radon washout you can be sure depending on weather patters that there will be Fukushima fallout in it.
I like many others from all around the world in groups like Radiation Watch and Fukushima Diary etc etc have been researching and following the event of this hushed up nuclear catastrophe for nearly two years. I cant sum up in one small article everything, it is something that you too will have to wake up and start to educate yourself because this Fukushima nuclear crises is here for life and will be effecting every single living creature on this planet.
But don’t despair one can do simple things to mitigate. Some examples; don’t eat mushrooms that are grown outdoors, indoor ones are perfectly fine. Mushrooms soak up radioactive isotopes like a sponge. Either reduce or cut out all dairy products whilst Fukushima is still polluting the atmosphere. The two main pathways for radiation to enter ones body is through drinking water and dairy products. Cows biomagnify the radiation in their milk and this is used to make cheese butter etc. Filter your water. A reverse osmosis filter is best for this but some say a Brita water filter will help. I use a Brita water filter. Always wash your vegetables in filtered water and vegetables that grow above ground like Cauliflower and Broccoli should be avoided because they have a large surface area to capture all the radioactive particles in its leaves etc but if you must eat such potentially contaminated products makes sure you wash them thoroughly and preferably in filtered water with a little bicarbonate of soda. That’s another story in itself. Bicarbonate of soda is used by the military to decontaminate after radiological exposures.
Don’t shoot the messenger but better still stop voting into power the very same people who are keeping this vital information from you. The shit is hitting the fan in Japan. Nearly 50% of all the children in the Fukushima prefecture have thyroid nodules a possible indication of thyroid cancer. Imagine Fukushima prefecture to be like Devon. Imagine 50% of all children in Devon with just this one disease. There are many other nuclear related illness and diseases that are a direct result from exposure to low levels of radiation.
It is a true crime against humanity as to what is happening in Japan and Fukushima radiation does not respect borders. Chernobyl nuclear disaster 26years ago taught us that. So get educated it really isn’t that difficult, the governments and school like you to believe it is a complicated issue, it is not. It is the nuclear industries smoke screen to keep people ill informed and dumb about nuclear issues. You don’t have to learnt the technical and scientific mumbo jumbo to understand that nuclear power and Fukushima and every single nuclear reactor in the world are a deadly curse upon the very existence of a healthy life. Also please please please stop eating any fish caught from the Pacific Ocean and get informed and stay informed.

This is the same reason why doctors talk about taking KI tablets, to 'load' the thyroid with iodine before a radioactive plume arrives, and why taking potassium may 'load' the body so it will not absorb radioactive cesium, and why taking calcium may load the body so it will not absorb strontium as much.
On 3/11, Fukushima threw out TONS of man made radioactive elements, including uranium, into the atmosphere and ocean, as well as land. Now imagine spreading uranium nano dust in the form of depleted uranium in shells, bombs and bullets all over the world, even in the middle of cities. Once these DU rounds hit their target, the shells turn into a ceramic dust and gas, and this radioactive uranium/plutonium mixture gets blown around by the wind for long distances, including across the oceans.
We end up with radiation coming from accidents, normal 'venting' and from all testing of DU rounds, practice exercises, and conflicts or wars all around the world, in addition to dust from uranium mines, processing centers, reprocessing centers and nuclear waste storage facilities.

A study by the University of Ulcer, there has been a change in male to female birth ratios and severe birth defects in babies.
