Nuns have suffered and are still suffering sexual abuse at the hands of Catholic priests and bishops, and have even been held as sexual slaves, Pope Francis confirmed on Tuesday. The abuse was so severe in one case that an entire congregation of nuns was dissolved by former Pope Benedict.

The scope of the abuse of nuns by clergy members first came to light with the publication at the beginning of February of the monthly Vatican magazine “Women Church World.” The edition included Francis’ own take on the scandal — long known about by the Vatican but virtually never discussed — in which he blamed the unchecked power wielded by priests and higher clergy across the Catholic Church for such crimes.

Archbishop’s computer contained over 100,000 child porn files | Michael Stone
More than 100,000 child porn videos and photos have been found on the computer of former Archbishop Jozef Wesolowski, who is also accused of raping numerous children in the Dominican Republic and Poland.

Wesolowski, currently under house arrest at the Vatican, is one of the highest-ranking church officials to be accused of sexually abusing children during the Catholic Church’s widespread and costly sexual abuse scandal.

The videos and photos of child pornography were stored on a computer in the office at the Holy See diplomatic compound in the Dominican Republic, where Wesolowski served as papal nuncio in Santo Domingo.

Sexual assault incidents at military academies rise 50 percent in past couple of years
The Pentagon released a report Thursday estimating that the number of sexual assault incidents across all military academies had risen 50 percent, with the number of cadets experiencing such assaults rising from 507 in 2016 to 747 in 2018.

The estimates emerged from data gleaned from an anonymous survey of cadets and midshipmen at the U.S. Military Academy, Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy. The surveys revealed that 15.8 percent of all female cadets and midshipmen experienced “unwanted sexual contact” in 2018 (up from 12.2 percent in 2016), as did 2.4 percent of men (up from 1.7 percent in 2016).

Priests don't have to buy children for sex, because they have easy access to them at all times, for free. Most parents 'trust' their priest with their children, unconditionally, because priests are seen as God, unable to commit any wrong doing or to cause any harm to anyone.  Maybe it is time to change that.... Catholic Church child sex abuse is being covered up by Vatican clerics, according to a United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child report. Following the findings a subsequent indictment was issued by the UN demanding that the Catholic Church stop protecting pedophiles by remaining silent. The indictment also called for the Church to hand over any information to criminal investigators that they have concerning clerics who are known or suspected of abuse. REMINDER: ‘GROPING’ AND ‘UNWANTED KISSING’ IS DEFINITELY SEXUAL ASSAULT


Kristen Houser, the chief public affairs officer at NSVRC, explained that any type of unwanted groping, touching or kissing is certainly in the definition of sexual assault.

“It is absolutely on the continuum of sexual violence,” Houser told The Huffington Post. “There are a lot of different ways that people can be sexually violated and exploited that don’t need to require any physical contact, let alone sexual penetration. Sexually violent acts fall along a continuum that go from no contact to very brutal physical violations such as rape or sexual homicides. And we absolutely include any unwanted touching, kissing and groping on that continuum.”

Just because many Trump supporters and political pundits can’t define sexual assault, that doesn’t mean what these women say they experienced isn’t assault.

For the record, the United States Department of Justice defines sexual assault as follows:

Sexual assault is any type of sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the recipient. Falling under the definition of sexual assault are sexual activities as forced sexual intercourse, forcible sodomy, child molestation, incest, fondling, and attempted rape.

Anti-sexual violence organization RAINN includes “fondling or unwanted sexual touching” with their definition of sexual assault, while the National Sexual Violence Resource Center defines “unwanted sexual contact or touching” as a type of sexual violence.

"Inada is a leading historical revisionist. Right-wing webcaster Sakura Channel lists her as a supporter of its movie “The Truth of Nanjing”, which argues that the 1937 rape of the old Chinese capital by Japanese Imperial troops is a lie. She helped lead a lawsuit against novelist Oe Kenzaburo , who angered neo-nationalists by writing about the military’s role in forcing civilians to kill themselves during the 1945 Battle of Okinawa. Osaka District Court exonerated Oe in March, but the plaintiffs have promised to appeal. Inada is a signatory to a now famous 2007 Washington Post advertisement claiming that the sexual enslavement of thousands of Asian women had no basis in fact, and a member of a parliamentary group fighting against what it sees as “masochistic” teaching of history in the nation’s high schools."

'COMFORT WOMEN' ARE FORCED TO BE HUMAN SEX SLAVES

Prior to and during World War II, Japan's Imperial Army established a system of brothels in its zones of combat specifically designed for military use, called "comfort stations."

Women and girls as young as 13 years old were enticed, kidnapped or coerced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military and its designated agents.

Historians estimate that as many as 200,000 women and girls throughout Asia and the Pacific, the majority from Korea, were trafficked into government-sponsored military brothels. These women and girls are euphemistically known as "comfort women."

JAPANESE GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY WAS DIRECTLY INVOLVED


While other instances of wartime sexual slavery have occurred throughout history and still do today, post-war Japan continues to have difficulty admitting to Imperial Japan's role in what is deemed the most extensive case of government involvement in human trafficking. In 1993 Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary, Yohei Kono, issued a statement, (the Kono Statement) recognizing that "the Japanese military was, directly or indirectly, involved in the establishment and management of the 'comfort stations' and the transfer of 'comfort women'."

However, the Kono statement is perceived only as a partial apology because (1) it was not issued by the Prime Minister in his official capacity, (2) it did not fully recognize the magnitude of the crime, and (3) it offered no government reparations to survivors and families of "comfort women."

JAPANESE GOVERNMENT IS IN PROCESS OF ERASING THIS CHAPTER FROM HISTORY, AND IS REVISING OFFICIAL HISTORICAL ACCOUNTS


Today, the Japanese government is in the process of erasing this chapter of its wartime history. Despite corroboration and verification from historians and the international community, including the United Nations, that Imperial Japan engaged in systematic, government-sanctioned human trafficking for the purposes of sexual servitude, Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is intensifying efforts to whitewash the history of "comfort women."

JAPAN'S EDUCATIONAL TEXTBOOKS BEING CENSORED BY PRIME MINISTER ABE AND GROUP OF RADICAL PRO WAR POLITICIANS


 Prime Minister Abe and his political party are leading a campaign to revise textbooks in Japan and around the world to delete or dilute the sections on "comfort women." Abe's administration is also pressuring Japanese newspapers to retract their articles covering the subject and calling on foreign governments to remove references from official documents, as well as to destroy any memorials dedicated to the "comfort women." 

Members of Prime Minister Abe's ruling party have reportedly stated that acknowledging atrocities committed during WWII, particularly sexual slavery, would diminish Japan's honor and national pride. The government of Japan must take the opposite position. Honor is bestowed upon governments that recognize their role in perpetuating human rights violations and in fulfilling their responsibilities as members of the international community to work toward truth, democracy and equality for all. 

Today, there are fewer than fifty "comfort women" survivors, well into their eighties and nineties. They are still fighting for an official and unequivocal apology from the Japanese government. We must join them to ensure that the world will never forget the women and girls trafficked, raped, physically and emotionally abused, and maintained in an institutionalized system of sexual slavery by Imperial Japan. Justice must be served.

THE HISTORY OF HUMAN SLAVERY AND USING HUMANS FOR PROFIT AT THE EXPENSE OF THEIR SUFFERING IS VERY LONG AND PRESENT IN MANY COUNTRIES, NOT JUST JAPAN


The story of human slavery and selling humans for profit is an ongoing one, with no end. As long as women are unaware of this deception, desperate, poor and don't have enough resources locally to live an abundant life, the problem will continue, not just in Japan, but in many countries all around the world. As long as men are willing to act dishonorably, the problem of slavery and trafficking will continue. Where does honor come from?

Honor is not given by any organization, military force, or government. Honor is a purely individual thing, internal, not external. No one can give a medal for TRUE honor. When an individual acts honorably, that is felt and experienced INTERNALLY, via conscience. No matter what the external outcome, end result, success or failure, HONOR is experienced or NOT experienced via individual actions, inactions or refusals to act in certain ways. Even orders cannot convey honor, respect or dignity. Ordering someone to do an something dishonorable does not make that act or the experience of it honorable. Honor cannot be conveyed by the mass media either, except in a very crude, nationalistic, surface and shallow manner, with no real meaning or substance.

Bottom line, honor is what you do and is governed by your conscience, not what you say or the medals/honors or rewards you get.

Arizona Pastor Explains Why Women Should Have No Rights | Michael Stone
American Taliban: A conservative Christian pastor uses the Bible to explain why women should not have the right to vote, the right to work outside the home, or the right to seek a divorce.

In a fiery sermon recently uploaded to YouTube, Pastor Steven Anderson of Faithful Word Baptist Church rails against women’s rights, while longing for the good old days, when women had no rights.

The following is an excerpt from the sermon:


What do you think they mean when they say ‘women’s rights’?


You know what they mean? The right to divorce your husband is what they mean. You know what they mean? The right to rebel and disobey your husband, the right to divorce him, the right to go out and get a job and make your own money, the right to tell him what to do, the right to go vote for our leaders as if women should have any say in how our country is run when the Bible says that “I suffer not a woman to teach, not to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence”?

Got patriarchal sexism? How is what this pastor as he makes women into 2nd class citizens who cannot vote, work or own property, any different than what happens in Afghanistan, or Saudi Arabia?







Just about the entire Bible is written by men, for men to keep control of women. The Bible is for the most part, patriarchal. It is due to too many followers believing that women are worthless, based on preachers like the one above that we have all of the problems caused by white supremacy, racism, sexism, sexual assaults, the rape culture and more. The fundamentalist evangelical brand of Christianity taught above is one reason why there are so few women in leadership positions, in religion, politics, business, etc. What would happen if everyone started voting for WOMEN, and we ended up with 50% or more of WOMEN leading everything?


Going from bad to worse, the Constitution mandated separation of church and state is fraying and coming apart.

Thomas believes the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause does not apply to the states. The Establishment Clause is that part of the First Amendment that says “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”

The Establishment Clause not only forbids the government from establishing an official religion, but also prohibits government actions that unduly favor one religion over another, or none.

While Thomas believes that the Establishment Clause “probably” prohibits the federal government from establishing an official, national religion, he sees no problem with individual state establishing an official state religion.

In the recent, disastrous Supreme Court ruling that found Christian prayers used to open government meetings to be constitutional, Thomas went further than his other conservative colleagues in condoning sectarian prayers at government functions. In his dissenting opinion Thomas disputes the widely accepted notion that the First Amendment’s ban on the “establishment” of religion even applies to state and local governments.

SOME HARD TRUTH
"If you're not helping shoulder some of the responsibility for exposing and bringing down rampant child trafficking ring activity in this country, there's something very wrong with you. If you instead spend all of that time worrying and complaining about your own inalienable rights being stripped away, or Russian interference, while thousands of children's innocence and their very lives are being taken away, you are neither a good citizen or a decent human being. Hard truth.

Child sex trafficking is real. If you don't care, why not? Is it because most of the abused are foster kids, abducted kids who don't look like yours, or kids trafficked in from foreign countries? Lower level arrests are being made now, but mainstream media isn't covering it. Why do you think that is? You know why. The FBI is reporting that the average lifespan of a child trafficked in this country is just seven years. What do you think that means? It means exactly what you think it does.

This very sad situation of child trafficking, human slavery and sexual slave trafficking is not unique to the US, any particular religion or Japan. War is all about corruption, chaos, and forcing people into situations on all sides that they would rather not be in.

Poverty is another huge driver of child trafficking, human sexual slavery, white supremacy, sexism, rape culture, bondage and prostitution. 

War is a racket, with huge amounts of money involved, plus corruption, theft and secret hidden power networks operating from behind the scenes. War makes all human condition problems worse and increasing suffering on all sides. Only a few people at the top benefit by making huge profits from war; bankers, arms dealers, war profiteers, mercenary organizations and secret spy agencies. Soldiers inside of the military are suffering too. Their suffering starts once they sign the 'contract' that binds them to the military industrial complex for life.  

With any war, millions of refugees are created. Rapes are common. People are torn from home, work and the safety of community networks. Refugees or isolated individuals such as women like the ones described above, are much more easily preyed on, kidnapped, or recruited out of desperation for various purposes.

The situation described above with the Japanese comfort women is still going on today on a global basis. One way that it happens even without war is that poor women are promised high paying 'domestic help' jobs in foreign countries like the US or other countries, but when they arrive at their location, a pimp steals their passport, forces them into prostitution and holds them by force in a brothel. Once a woman is out of her local village, she has no help, no support and she cannot go to the police, because she is being held by force in a locked room, with no way out. All her papers are held by the pimps or slave masters, who can do whatever they want with her.


WHAT YOU CAN DO

Push for legislation that will protect children, and/or reimburse them for harm caused, when they get old enough to pursue justice. 



Guess who is opposed to this legislation? Ummmm, the Catholic Church, Bill Donohue (above), and other churches.

Now why would they be opposed to protecting children and seeing that they get justice if they are sexually assaulted or raped? 

Hmmmmm...?
